Responsibility details are not available.
The plastic kit of the ship Thousand Sunny from the Japanese brand Bandai belongs to the Grand Ship Collection, a collector range devoted to the vessels of the One Piece world. The Film Red designation in the name refers to the feature film of the same title. The parts are injection-molded from pre-colored plastic and snap together, so the model has its colors finished as it is assembled.
The Thousand Sunny is the ship of the Straw Hat crew, the main heroes of the One Piece series. It is among the best known vessels of the whole story and fans recognize it by the prominent lion figurehead at the bow. The model follows the animated subject and is built as an object for a display case, not as a technically accurate sailing ship.
Separate the parts with modeling nippers, preferably a little away from the part, and then level the rest of the gate with a knife or a fine file, so that no white burr is left on the edge. Assembly requires neither glue nor paints, so the build is within reach even of absolute beginners. A more advanced modeler can respray the individual subassemblies with acrylic or a varnish suited to plastic, pick out the engraving with a panel line and unify the whole with a matte or semi-gloss varnish. The hull and the deck deserve the most attention, because they are the most visible.
The model is assembled by snapping pre-colored parts together. Glue and paints are not needed for the build, and painting is optional.
