A resin pilot's seat for models of the Curtiss P-40E in 1:32 scale replaces the simplified plastic part with a faithful casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory is not a kit of the aircraft but a detailed resin insert for the cockpit. It holds a pilot's seat for models of the American Curtiss P-40E fighter in 1:32 scale. A faithful casting with fine texture lifts the look of an open pilot's space over the basic plastic seat from a kit.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter of the Second World War, used on a number of fronts. The P-40E (Warhawk) version had Allison V12 engines and was in its day one of the most widespread American fighters. The large 1:32 scale puts high demands on the detail of the cockpit.
Wash the part to remove any mold release agent, separate it from the casting block and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The detail of the seat comes out once it is painted in interior shades and gently brought up with a wash.
