Curtiss P-40E Warhawk exhaust stacks 1:32 from Eduard. A resin set of exhaust stacks for a more faithful engine section on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech maker Eduard replaces the exhaust stacks of the American Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale. It is an accessory, not a kit. The castings have hollowed mouths and a fine surface texture that the plastic parts of the base model cannot match, and they lift the look of the engine section of the airframe markedly.
The P-40E was powered by the liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 V12, whose exhaust stacks emerged along the sides of the nose in a characteristic row. That area tends to be conspicuous on a model, so fine resin exhausts with deepened mouths are one of the most effective details that can be fitted to a Warhawk.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean up the surfaces with your breathing protected. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhausts paint up well with a transition of rust and burnt steel shades, and the final effects can be brought out with pigments. A thin primer before painting helps.
This is a resin accessory, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
