1:32 Dassault Mirage IIIE, engine exhaust nozzle is a resin detail set from the manufacturer Reskit that replaces the simplified nozzle of a plastic kit with a truer part. It is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a resin accessory in 1:32 scale. It replaces the exhaust nozzle of the powerplant, that is, one of the most conspicuous places on the tail of the Mirage III, where the plastic part tends to be simplified because of the injection molding process and often split by a seam as well. A resin casting allows fine nozzle petals, thin walls and depth of view into the duct.
The Mirage IIIE was the fighter and strike variant of the French Dassault Mirage III delta-wing aircraft, adapted for attacks on ground targets and for operations over greater distances. Compared with the earlier versions it had a slightly lengthened nose and reworked equipment. Power came from a turbojet with an afterburner, whose variable nozzle changes its cross-section according to the regime; that is exactly the detail that is lost on a model with a fixed part.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release residue disappears, otherwise paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, and never snap them. Sand wet and with respiratory protection, as resin dust is fine. It is bonded with super glue, ideally with an accelerator. The inside of the nozzle stands out with metallic shades and gradual heat discoloration toward the edge; on the outside, discreet soot and a dark wash into the ribs help.
The set contains resin accessory parts only. The kit, paints, glue and decals are not included in the package.
