A 3D-printed color interior 1:32 for the Do 335A-0 on decal paper from Quinta Studio will complete the cockpit of a model of the German tandem-engined fighter. An accessory, not a kit. The set is intended for the Zoukei-Mura kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of 3D-printed and painted interior parts on decal paper in 1:32 scale for a model of the German Dornier Do 335 fighter in the A-0 version, from Quinta Studio. It is not a kit and not a model in its own right; it is an accessory that replaces part of the internal fittings of a plastic model. It follows the dimensions of the Zoukei-Mura kit.
The three-dimensional parts are printed and painted in one go, so laborious painting by hand and the subsequent picking out of small cockpit features are avoided. They are carried on decal paper, so they transfer onto the model much like decals. Do not add a decal softener either to the water or to the part, as it would attack the printed resin. In the large 1:32 scale the cockpit is roomy and color detail in it stands out even under a closed canopy.
The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil was one of the most unusual designs of the end of the Second World War. Its two Daimler-Benz engines were not mounted in the wing but on the centerline of the fuselage: one at the front with a tractor propeller, the other at the rear with a pusher propeller behind the cruciform tail. The layout gave the aircraft the performance of a twin-engined machine without the aerodynamic losses of engine nacelles, and so the Pfeil ranked among the fastest piston aircraft of its day. The A-0 version was a pre-production evaluation batch used mainly for trials and for training. The war never allowed it into service, so the Do 335 became a legend resting on only a few dozen airframes built.
