This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the cockpit tub of both crew positions with faithfully worked parts: the instrument panels, the side panels, the sticks and the seats. The package is usually complemented by fine photo-etched components.
The F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier-based fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14A version was the first production variant and carried a crew of two, a pilot and a weapons systems officer. The extensive two-seat cockpit is a rewarding place for raising the detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing it in, check the fit with the particular kit. Spray the cockpit with a base color first and bring out the details with a dark wash and a dry brush.
