A detailed resin cockpit set in 1:32 scale from the maker Aires. It replaces the cockpit of the base kit with a faithfully cast cockpit of the F-86F Sabre fighter, usually complemented by photo-etched parts and an instrument film. It is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a stand-alone aircraft model.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American swept-wing jet fighter and one of the main machines of the Korean War. The F-86F version was among the more capable day fighter standards, with an improved wing and a General Electric J47 engine. The Sabre became famous as the opponent of the Soviet MiG-15.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the instrument panel and the side consoles with a wash and a dry brush, and deal with the glazing only once the cockpit is finished. Check that everything seats in the particular kit in 1:32 scale.
