Quinta Studio 1:32 F/A-18C Late is a three-dimensional (3D) interior decal for the late form of the single-seat Hornet in 1:32 scale. It gives you a colored, raised cockpit without painting the individual instruments.

This item is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory set. Quinta Studio prints the interior elements three-dimensionally and already in color onto decal paper, so the instrument panel with its displays, the side consoles, the control panels and the seat belts all gain real depth and legible lettering. In 1:32 scale the cockpit of the Hornet is genuinely large and looks empty without a detailed interior, especially if you build the model with the canopy open.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine carrier-borne multirole aircraft that filled both the fighter and the attack role with its users. The C version is the single-seat form of the second production generation of the type; the later production and upgraded machines differ from the early ones above all in their avionics, and that was reflected in the layout of the instrument panel and the side panels. It is precisely this difference that is the reason why the sets for the early and the late form are offered separately and why it pays to choose the one that matches the machine you are building.
Quinta three-dimensional decals are printed on a decal backing paper: the part is dipped briefly in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper. They have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on gloss varnish, so first spray the cockpit with its base color, let it cure thoroughly and go over the surface with gloss varnish; a matte base is a mistake. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution at all, as their chemicals would damage the printed resin layer. The particular procedure and the order of the elements are given in the instructions included with the set. Work with smooth-jawed tweezers, lay the part down dry first and fine-tune its position, and only then press it home. Do not paint over the displays and the instruments; if you want a glass effect, a drop of clear gloss varnish on them is enough.
