A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of faithful main landing gear bays for a matching Focke-Wulf Fw 190D kit. The castings bring the structure of the ribs, the lines and the walls that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, nicknamed Dora, is a late development version of the German Fw 190 fighter from the end of the Second World War. Unlike the radial engine of the earlier Würger machines it had a lengthened nose with a liquid-cooled inverted V12, which improved its performance at high altitude. It is one of the sought-after subjects of the late Luftwaffe.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The bays come into their own once the base shade is painted, the edges are brought out with a dry brush and a wash is run into the recesses.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
