A one-piece resin pilot's seat with faithfully cast seat belts for models of the British Gloster Gladiator fighter biplane in 1:32 scale. It replaces the plastic seat and gives the cockpit a better look at once, with no need to put belts together from photo-etch.

What the part is for

The seat is the dominant feature of the open cockpit of a biplane. The resin casting has a fine texture and belts with buckles rendered in relief, so once painted and picked out it comes across realistically. This is an accessory, not an aircraft model.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block away and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the seat according to the real subject, set the belts apart in color and pick them out with a wash; do the sanding with your breathing protected.
