This item is neither a model of an aircraft nor its main part. It is an gun pod in 1:32 scale with which you will supplement the armament of an aircraft model already under construction. The Ukrainian brand Reskit has long focused on external stores and runs them in several aircraft scales in parallel, so a modeler chooses according to the project he currently has on the table.
The GPU-2/A is a light gun pod built around a three-barrel 20 mm weapon. It arose so that machines without a built-in cannon could get firepower too - light attack and observation aircraft or helicopters. It is hung on a standard pylon, so according to the task it could be exchanged for a tank or a bomb rack. It is precisely this versatility that makes it a rewarding accessory, because one set enlivens several different models in a collection at once.
First rinse the surface in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry out, because otherwise the remains from manufacture prevent the primer from adhering. The pod is usually sprayed in the shade of the underside of the fuselage, but small service markings will give it life. Reach for cyanoacrylate glue to fix it; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold reliably here. Level the longitudinal axis of the pod with the axis of the aircraft, otherwise a twisted external store will spoil the impression of the whole model.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and pylons are not included in the package.
