A set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio for a detailed rendering of the pair of GRU-7A ejection seats of a model of the F-14A/B Tomcat fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit and not finished seats but finishing 3D decals that give the plastic seats faithful colors, harness straps and relief. The set holds parts for two seats, that is for the whole two-seat cockpit. The set counts on the Trumpeter kit.
The decals are printed in several layers, so the padding, the belts and the equipment of the seat gain plasticity and color without painting. The details are convincing even under the large 1:32 scale, where the seat is markedly in view.
Cut the elements out, immerse them in lukewarm water for a few seconds and transfer them onto the cleaned plastic seats. The 3D decal conforms to the shape and holds on a gloss varnish; it has no adhesive layer of its own, and a decal softener or a setting solution does not belong on it. Position the small straps with tweezers and let them dry.
