Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of DK Decals waterslide decals in 1:32 scale focused on Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIB machines in the reconnaissance role in the Far Eastern theater. The designation Recce in the name refers to precisely that reconnaissance use. It is a standalone decal set with which you finish a model built from a kit. Check the number of schemes and the individual machines on the packaging.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter of mixed construction, in which the framework fuselage still came from the prewar school. The Mk.II version received a more powerful Merlin engine, and the Mk.IIB form carried twelve 7.7 mm machine guns in the wing. Some of the machines were later converted for tactical reconnaissance, when cameras were added to their armament. In the Far Eastern theater, Hurricanes flew in different camouflage schemes from those in Europe and carried distinctive recognition markings for that territory.
First spray the painted model with gloss varnish and let it cure completely. Cut the designs out close, so that the edge of the carrier film is not visible once they are applied. Release the decal in lukewarm water, transfer it onto the model, settle it and draw the excess water off. Where a decal passes over ribs, engraved lines or the transition of the fabric covering, a softener will help. At the large 1:32 scale it pays to apply large designs one at a time and to let the film dry in between. Finally comes a matte or semi-gloss varnish, and only after it the washes and pigments.
The package contains decals. The kit, paints and varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
