CH-53E / MH-53E, folded main rotor 1:48 is a 3D-printed detail set (Reskit) for building the CH-53E Super Stallion / MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter. It is not a model but an accessory for a plastic kit.

This is NOT a helicopter model but a detailed 3D-printed set of the folded main rotor for the Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion and MH-53E Sea Dragon heavy transport helicopters in 1:48 scale. The set shows the rotor with seven blades and with the blade fold restraint systems, in other words the state in which it is parked on the deck of a ship or in a hangar.
The accessory is fitted into the CH-53E / MH-53E plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Academy. The base kit is not included in the package and the modeler has to own it. A folded rotor is ideal for deck dioramas and for saving space in a display case.
Wash the resin 3D-printed parts to remove uncured print resin, cut the print supports off and bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your breathing when sanding. Glue the thin blades and the restraints carefully, so that the exact angles of the fold are kept.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
