A decal sheet in 1:32 scale from the British brand Kits-World, devoted to the Hawk jet trainer and light combat aircraft in the service of the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm. These are decals on their own for a model you obtain separately.
The Hawk is a British single-engine jet aircraft with a two-seat cabin in tandem, developed for advanced pilot training and capable of light combat tasks as well. It came about at the Hawker Siddeley company and further development and production continued under the British Aerospace name, which is why you will meet both marques with this type. With the Royal Air Force it replaced older training types and became a long-term foundation of training; in the version for the Fleet Air Arm it served among other things for training and as a target for practicing the defense of a formation. It was precisely this breadth of roles that brought a great many different color schemes, from training red and black to low-visibility gray coats.
Go over the base under the decal with gloss varnish; with low-visibility gray coats this is especially important, because a matte base gives the film away by silvering. Snip the decal out tightly, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until the backing comes loose. In 1:32 scale long stripes and large insignia are demanding to seat – work from the center to the edges and soak the water away gradually, so that no air is trapped under the film. On engravings and riveting, use decal softener and let the decal dry without pressure. Once dry, rinse residues of adhesive off with water and even the model out with matte or semi-matte varnish according to the character of the coat.
The package holds decals. The kit, paints and varnish are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
