Quickboost Il-2 Shturmovik exhaust 1:32 is a small resin detail set that will replace the exhausts on a model of the Soviet Il-2 Shturmovik attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory resin set from the Quickboost brand in 1:32 scale. The set contains precisely cast exhaust stubs for an Il-2 Shturmovik model that replace the simpler parts from a base kit. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet attack aircraft of the Second World War. It became famous for its heavily armored forward fuselage protecting the pilot and the engine and was built in large numbers to support ground units.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The exhaust outlets can be carefully drilled out for a truer look. The surface is usually painted with an airbrush and the details are brought out with a fine wash.
This is an accessory, not a complete aircraft model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
