A supplementary decal sheet for the cabins of models of Italian fighter aircraft of the Second World War in 1:32 scale, specifically the machines of the Fiat, Macchi and Reggiane marques. It is not a kit. The decals have full color printing and in addition a raised layer, thanks to which the strap on the seat does not read as a printed line but as a belt with thickness of its own and with metal fittings.
Italian fighters of the late 1930s and the first half of the 1940s, whether with a radial engine or with the later inline power, had fairly open cabins with the seat clearly visible. In 1:32 scale the interior stays open to view even after the model is closed up, so an empty seat cannot hide. A set cut directly for Italian machines is more practical than a universal sheet, because it respects the different arrangement of the straps compared with British and German types.
Trim the decal film as closely as possible around the motif with a new sharp scalpel, so that no glossy rim is left on the seat. The surface must be smooth and finished with a gloss clear coat. Soak briefly, slide the decal into place with a soft brush and straighten it with a toothpick; do not use metal tweezers. The manufacturer does not recommend a softener. When a belt needs adjusting, it can be carefully moistened after drying and moved again, so do not hurry with the varnish. Once everything fits, go over it with a gloss clear coat and only then matte it down and weather it.
The set contains decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
