This set from Quinta Studio is not a kit or a stand-alone model but an add-on. These are 3D printed and already painted decals on decal paper that are applied to the parts of a plastic model and give the interior three-dimensional, raised detail. The name does not state the particular scope of the set or the contents of the package: check them on the box. Dimensionally it is based on the Trumpeter kit.
The Ju 87A was the first production version of the German Junkers Ju 87 dive bomber, with fixed spatted landing gear and a two-seat cockpit. In 1:32 scale the cockpit area is clearly visible and the flat parts from the kit tend to be the first thing that spoils the overall impression of a finished model. Pre-colored 3D decals carry relief and color at the same time, so they replace work that would otherwise mean photo-etched parts, masks and several shades of paint on tiny areas.
Prepare the surface smooth and coated with gloss varnish. Over a flat surface the decal dries with a silvery edge that can no longer be put right. Cut the individual elements out as closely as possible, soak them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and move them into place with a soft brush. Blot up the excess water and press the element down gently with a cotton bud. Do not use a decal softener or setter; their chemistry will attack the printed resin and spoil the element. Once completely dry, the finished interior is usually gone over with flat varnish so that the gloss of the surface underneath does not shout.
This is an add-on to a plastic kit, which the package does not contain. The model, paints, clear coat and glue are not part of the set.
