1:32 Lewis Mk.III – 2 pcs is a resin set of two Lewis Mk.III aircraft machine guns for superdetailing models of First World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Art Scale contains two finely cast Lewis Mk.III machine guns in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a resin accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts and increases the fidelity of the armament. The parts are highly detailed, with a well-rendered barrel cooling jacket, gun body and pan magazine.
The Lewis was a British light machine gun that in its aircraft form was widely used during the First World War and in the interwar period as the observer's flexible weapon or on a spring mounting. It is characterized by the large cylindrical barrel cooling jacket and the pan magazine mounted on top.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. You bring out the metal with a combination of dark steel and a fine dry brush, and a light weathering suits it at the end.
The set contains only the resin parts of the guns. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
