The Macchi MC.202 Folgore in 1:32 scale is a COBI brick kit after the Italian fighter of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This COBI kit of colored plastic elements offers the Italian fighter that was among the best machines of its country. The joints hold mechanically, so you will need neither glue nor a finish, and the assembly can be managed over one longer evening.
The Folgore came about by rebuilding the earlier Saetta type: a German-designed inverted V12, built under license in Italy, went into a slimmer fuselage. The change brought a considerably higher speed and in the Mediterranean the machine became an equal match for British fighters. Its deployment began in 1941 over North Africa and continued over Malta, Sicily and on the Eastern Front. The armament remained a weakness; for a long time it consisted only of two heavy machine guns above the engine, and only later variants received cannons in the wing.
Finish the engine section first; it sets the axis of the whole fuselage. Fit the cockpit only once the upper surfaces are aligned, and leave the propeller for the very end so that it does not come loose while you handle the model. Anyone whose display case is already full will appreciate the smaller size of the aircraft.
The fighter is assembled from kit parts and once finished it is ready to go straight onto the shelf.
