What the figure represents

A second stance for a scene

Painting step by step

• Wash the figure in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, degrease it and let it dry.
• Apply a thin coat of primer; only on it will the shades hold.
• Apply the paint in several thin coats, so that the folds of the flight suit stay apparent.
• Put a dark wash into the folds and highlight the edges with a dry brush.
• When you are building a pair, give each figure a differently saturated shade; a matching pair comes across as artificial.
• At the end give the figure a coat of matte varnish.
