Eduard 1:32 masks Me 262A-1 Schwalbe is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the glazing and the wheels of the model of the German jet aircraft. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks in Japanese kabuki tape for the model of the Messerschmitt Me 262 in 1:32 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model but an accessory that makes masking for spraying easier and more accurate.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the many-framed canopy and onto the wheel hubs, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to curved shapes, holds tightly and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. Thanks to that the canopy frames come out sharp and straight with no cutting of tape by hand.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to see production service. It was powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 jet engines slung under the wings and surpassed the piston fighters of its day in speed. The A-1 version was the fighter variant used by the Luftwaffe at the close of the Second World War.
The set contains die-cut masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
