MG 15 magazines and case catchers in 1:32 scale add to a defensive gun position the small equipment that the mold usually leaves out.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set deals with two small things an injection mold as a rule cannot reach: spare magazines stowed in the cabin and the canvas bags that catch the ejected cases. It is precisely these that turn an empty gun position into an inhabited workplace. This is an accessory for a model under construction, not a kit of an aircraft in its own right.
The MG 15 machine gun ejected its cases straight into the cabin. Loose flying brass endangered the crew, dropped into the control linkages and, when firing from an open mount, could damage the tail surfaces of the aircraft itself. A catcher therefore belonged to the equipment of every defensive position. Alongside it, spare saddle magazines were carried within the gunner's reach, stowed in holders on the fuselage walls so that they could be changed blind.
The small items show best if you seat them after the interior has been varnished but still before the fuselage is closed. Shade the magazines in a dark metal with a hint of wear on the edges, and the bags, by contrast, in a matte canvas color with a light dusting. A spot of bright brass inside the catcher completes the impression of firing that has just ended.
The chemicals and consumables for finishing are obtained separately.
