A resin set of the TS-21 ground turbine starter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but ground support equipment (GSE) that completes a scene around a MiG-23 fighter. The turbostarter was used to start the aircraft's jet engine and is a rewarding item in an airfield diorama.
The TS-21 ground turbostarter delivered the compressed air needed to spin up and start the engine of the MiG-23. Support equipment like this was an inseparable part of every operational base; in a diorama it gives the model scale, context and the story of everyday airfield work.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and cut the casting blocks (gates) off. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. The unit comes into its own with realistic wear: rubbing, dust and traces of operating fluids applied with washes and pigments.
The accessory serves to complete a scene. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
