A resin detail set from the Quickboost range, made by Aires. It contains protective covers (for the intakes and the sensors, for example) with prominent red Remove Before Flight streamers of the kind left on an aircraft while it is parked on the ground. It is intended for MiG-23 models in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit.
The Mikoyan MiG-23 was a Soviet supersonic fighter with a variable-geometry wing. Remove Before Flight streamers are fitted on parked machines to the covers of the intakes, the sensors and other sensitive places, so that they are not forgotten before take-off. For a model of a machine on a stand it is a striking and convincing detail.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding. Spray the covers a saturated red, and the lettering can be suggested with a fine brush or with a decal if you have one.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
