A set of masks for the clear parts of the Mosquito fighter-bomber of the sixth series, the Tamiya model in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sixth series gave the fast wooden machine teeth. Four machine guns fitted into the nose and four 20 mm cannon under the floor of the cockpit, while the racks under the wing took bombs, auxiliary fuel tanks or unguided rockets. This form became the most numerously built version of the whole type and was used from attacks on shipping targets off the Norwegian coast to precision raids on individual buildings. The best-known action remains the breaking of the wall of the prison at Amiens. The cockpit stayed a two-seater with the crew sitting side by side, so the side glazing is sizeable here as well.
Inside lie self-adhesive films cut to the parts of the Tamiya model. The material is laid on the glass from both sides, so that the inner and the outer side of the frame can carry different colors.
For the build that means certainty above all. The width of the frame is set by the cutout, not by a steady hand, and the line nowhere spills onto a transparent area. Anyone building in the evening after work will also appreciate that the masking can be broken off at any time and calmly finished the next day without losing a part-cut strip of tape.
The markings of the aircraft are not included, as the item concentrates on the glazing.
