P-51D/K Mustang propeller with a jig is a resin propeller with an assembly jig in 1:32 scale from the maker Quickboost. A detail accessory, not the whole model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a resin propeller for a model of the P-51 Mustang fighter in the D and K versions in 1:32 scale. A painting and assembly jig is included as well, which makes it easier to line the blades up to the correct angle and to paint them cleanly. It is a separate accessory replacing the plastic propeller of the base kit.
The P-51 Mustang is an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War with the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine (built under license by Packard). It was renowned as a long-range escort fighter. The D and K versions differed in the type of propeller: the P-51D carried a Hamilton Standard propeller with cuffs at the blade roots, whereas the P-51K had an Aeroproducts propeller without cuffs and with a slightly smaller diameter. This set covers both types.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue. Use the jig to set the blades before the glue dries.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
