An accessory from the manufacturer Quickboost with which the propeller from the original kit is replaced on a model. It is not a model or a kit but a finished replacement part in 1:32 scale. The point of such a swap is simple: on an aircraft model the propeller is the first thing the eye falls on, and the shape of the blades is at the same time one of the things by which the individual versions of the Mustang differ from one another.
The P-51K version came about alongside the most widespread bubble-canopy version of the Mustang and differed from it precisely in its propeller. That propeller came from a different supplier, had differently shaped blades and a slightly smaller diameter. In photographs it is one of the few reliable clues for telling the two versions apart, because otherwise the machines look very much alike.
Once glued, the blades have to be at the same angle, or the propeller will look out of true on the model. The extent of the set and the fitting procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
A replacement part is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
