A figure of a British fighter pilot from 1940 to 1945 in 1:32 scale, the seventh in the line. It will give an aircraft model scale and action.
Responsibility details are not available.
British fighter pilots of the Second World War flew in closed cockpits at great altitudes, and their gear matched that: a flight suit or uniform, an inflatable life vest, a leather helmet with an oxygen mask and a parachute harness. The years 1940 to 1945 in the name delimit the period from the Battle of Britain to the end of the war in Europe.
A figure by an aircraft gives away its size at once and turns a model on show into a display. In 1:32 scale an adult person measures roughly five and a half centimeters, so the face, the gear and the gathering of the clothing stand out. The number seven in the name tells this item apart from the others in the same line, which differ in stance. The exact composition is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry, so that the paint holds. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the area down with fine sandpaper. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Painting is done in thin layers: the basic tone, a darker shadow in the folds, a lighter touch on the raised places. It pays to set the vest and the harness apart by shade, so that they are not lost in the whole.
For modelers who build an aircraft as a scene with a crew. Unless stated otherwise, the aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery.
