Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German 12.8 cm FlaK 40 heavy anti-aircraft gun from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale. The set captures the massive gun in its firing position and is complemented by small metal and photo-etched parts for greater fidelity. It is a stand-alone model of an artillery piece, ideal as part of a diorama as well.
The 12.8 cm FlaK 40 was one of the most effective German heavy anti-aircraft guns of the Second World War. Although it was not built in large numbers, it stood out for its range and destructive power. In the firing position it weighed around twelve tons, so the barrel was removed for transport. It was deployed against high-flying bomber formations.
On an artillery model, take care over the precise fit of the carriage and of the elevation and traverse mechanism. Painting is made easier by an airbrush and by breaking up the shades; dust pigments bring the carriage and the lower areas to life. Glue the fine photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
