Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard that makes it possible to build the characteristic perforated flaps of a plastic model of the SBD Dauntless dive bomber in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an aftermarket accessory that replaces the heavy plastic parts with a fine, perforated metal structure.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was an American carrier dive bomber of the US Navy in the Second World War that played a key role in the battles of the Pacific. Its recognition mark is the perforated dive brakes and landing flaps with their rows of holes, which steadied the aircraft during a dive attack. It is exactly this perforated structure that the photo-etched set reproduces faithfully.
Nip the parts out of the fret, clean them up and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger surfaces can be soldered. Make the bends precisely so that the flaps seat properly. Degrease the surface before painting and pick up the small elements with tweezers.
This is an accessory, not a model. The airplane kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
