An injection-molded plastic model of the French SPAD VIIc.1 fighter biplane in 1:32 scale from the Roden brand, this time focused on machines in American service - the Lafayette units and the United States Army Air Service (USAAS). The kit holds a detailed cockpit and the Hispano-Suiza V8 engine, separate control surfaces and finely engraved surfaces; the build includes the bracing wires.
The SPAD VII was one of the first fast and sturdy French fighters of the First World War, powered by the powerful water-cooled Hispano-Suiza V8 engine. Besides French aces, American volunteers and pilots of the United States Army Air Service flew it after the entry of the USA into the war; it is their machines that the decal sheet of this boxing concentrates on.
On a biplane, assemble and paint the cockpit and the engine before you close the fuselage. Clean up the fine struts and braces carefully. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, then fill and sand the joints. Apply a primer before painting and spray the paints with an airbrush in thin coats. Add the bracing wires only after painting, using elastic rigging thread.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
