It is not an aircraft model but a ground vehicle in its own right, which is built as a small model on its own and serves to bring an airfield scene to life. The production technology and the size of the parts make it an item for modelers who have already worked with similar material.
The MJ-1 range is part of the basic equipment of US Air Force flight lines. The low self-propelled truck brings bombs or guided missiles up to the aircraft and lifts them with a hydraulic platform to the height of the pylon, so the crew does not have to raise the weapon by hand. Among the personnel the nickname Jammer has taken hold for this equipment. The MJ-1B version follows on from the older series and Reskit makes it as a separate item alongside other forms of the same family.
Before building, wash and degrease the parts so that the primer holds. Remove the print supports with a sharp cut right at the part and level the remnants with a fine file. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), ideally after a dry test fit. The painting is rewarding: a base shade, then rubbed-through edges, traces of hydraulic oil and a light dust on the running gear. A dark wash brings out the division of the frame and the platform better than any dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a 3D-printed kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
