A colored display board for a model whose motif is tied to the American aircraft carrier CVN-78. The load-bearing part is an acrylic board 3 mm thick and 410 x 270 mm in size, that is 41 x 27 cm, weighing 410 g. The board is stiff enough not to sag under a model, and its weight will keep it lying still even on a smooth shelf. A model is simply stood on it; there is no need to glue it or modify it in any other way.
USS Gerald R. Ford with the hull number CVN-78 is the first unit of the American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier class of the same name and entered service in 2017. It is replacing the older ships of the Nimitz class and ranks among the largest warships there have ever been. A display board with this motif therefore suits above all models of carrier aircraft and helicopters of the US Navy.
If the board is protected by a film, take it off only just before displaying it, so that the surface is not scratched. Wipe dust and fingerprints off with a soft dry cloth. Thinners and aggressive cleaners have no place on acrylic; they dull it and can damage the motif. If you want to secure a model against shifting, reach for double-sided adhesive pads, which can be taken off without a trace. Stand the model so that its footprint does not cover the most striking part of the artwork.
The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
