A resin replacement engine cowling and cooling flaps (in the closed position) in 1:72 scale for models of the late Fw 190 D-11, D-12 and D-13 versions. A refining accessory from the manufacturer Quickboost.
Responsibility details are not available.
This cast resin set replaces the plastic nose cowling and the cooling flaps with an accurate casting matching the late Dora versions. The cooling flaps are rendered in the closed position. It is a refining accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model.
The Fw 190 D-11, D-12 and D-13 were rare, late-production subversions of the German Focke-Wulf fighter with the Junkers Jumo 213 V engine. Compared with the widespread D-9 they differed in armament and in detail changes to the powerplant. They saw combat only in small numbers at the very end of the Second World War.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces gently with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and any gaps can be filled with putty. Before spraying, apply a filler primer and work according to the camouflage scheme you have chosen.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
