1:32 German 760x100 spoked wheels - 1 pair is a resin set of two wheels with a wire-spoked pattern for German aircraft of the First World War. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Art Scale holds one pair of resin wheels with a finely rendered wire-spoked pattern. The designation 760x100 corresponds to the period German marking of aircraft tires, where the first number gives the outside diameter and the second the width in millimeters. In the range it is the largest of the three sizes offered. The set does not hold an aircraft model; it is a replacement part for a model in 1:32 scale.
Wheels tend to be the weakest spot on older plastic kits. The spoking is only suggested in the mold, the tire has a coarse parting seam and the hub lacks shape. A resin replacement deals with these shortcomings all at once, because it is cast without a parting line across the tread and the spoking is legible on it even after painting. On aircraft of the First World War this tells all the more, because their wheels are large and stand in the foreground of the whole model.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw at a point that will stay hidden and level the surface with wet sandpaper, with respiratory protection. It is glued with super glue, not with cement for plastic. Apply a primer first, then the fabric or rubber of the tire, and only at the end pick the spoking out with a fine bristle. A fine dark wash settles the shadows between the wires and gives the wheel depth.
