Responsibility details are not available.
A figure accessory in 1:35 scale from Black Dog. The subject the name carries is an American sniper with binoculars, that is the moment of observing and searching for a target, not of firing.
The snipers of the US Army and the Marine Corps typically work in pairs: the shooter and the spotter, who searches for the target with binoculars, estimates the range and watches the fall of shot. It is the spotter who reads the scene, and for a modeler it is a more interesting pose than mere aiming, because it brings a direction of view and tension into the composition. The viewer then looks for where the figure is looking. It comes into its own in a trench or rooftop position, in rubble and in the open hatch of a vehicle.
On figures in 1:35 the face and the hands decide. Work from a dark base through a mid tone to highlights on the forehead, the nose and the cheekbones, and blend the transitions carefully. Paint camouflage patterns from the largest areas to the smallest spots and let dust cover them in places, so that the uniform does not look new. Set the equipment and the optics apart from the cloth in saturation and sheen. Unify the finished figure with a light filter, so that it goes with the base it will stand on.
