DDR-NVA No. 4 - Grenztruppen and Volkspolizei is a set of water-slide decals in 1:35 from Star Decals for the GAZ-69, UAZ-469 and BTR-40 vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of water-slide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It is not a kit but a marking sheet on its own, meant for rounding out a model of a vehicle of your own. The subject is tied to the East German border troops (Grenztruppen) and the People's Police (Volkspolizei).
The sheet offers markings for the light vehicles GAZ-69 and UAZ-469 and for the BTR-40 armored personnel carrier. It holds tactical numbers, national insignia and service markings matching the border and police units of the former GDR. From one sheet you can therefore mark several different vehicles with a specific period character.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish to prevent silvering. Dip the cut-out design in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface once it has softened. Decal softeners will help it cling into the detail. Finally go over the surface with a matte varnish, so that the markings blend with the color of the body.
This is a marking sheet on its own. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
