The decals War In Ukraine 16 - The Wagner Group Coup In 2023, T-80BV And BTR-82A in 1:35 scale carry the markings of the T-80BV tank and the BTR-82A carrier.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sixteenth part of the series holds the markings of hardware associated with the move by the Wagner group in Russia in 2023, namely of the T-80BV tank and the eight-wheeled BTR-82A armored personnel carrier. The set is worked out in 1:35 scale.
The T-80BV is the version of the tank with a gas turbine rounded out with block explosive reactive armor on the turret as well as on the hull; its distinguishing feature is the regular rows of boxes on the frontal area. The BTR-82A carrier grows out of the older eight-wheeled line, but it was given a turret with a stabilized 30mm cannon and a reworked interior. Both vehicles were recorded in 2023 with conspicuous markings of their own, which differed from the ordinary armament of regular units. The sheet opens these insignia up for building a model.
The explosive reactive armor is made up of rectangular blocks with deep gaps, across which a continuous design will not transfer. Cut it up along the gaps, therefore, and seat the individual parts separately. On coarsely cast surfaces a thin coat of gloss varnish first helps, and after that patient pressing with a cotton swab. Once the decal has dried, even the area out with a final coat of varnish. With machines of 2023 it pays to compare several different shots of the same vehicle.
