The SX-Art set belongs to the model of the Russian Tiger-M armored off-road car in 1:72 size. It is an aid for painting that protects the glazing and the lights while the airbrush works on the model.
The Tiger is a Russian armored car with all-wheel drive that came about at the turn of the millennium and serves for reconnaissance, for carrying a squad and as a carrier of light armament. The version with the letter M received a domestic engine and a series of body modifications. Characteristic features are the large armored windows, the extensions above the fenders and the high-routed exhaust pipe; it is exactly those windows that are the most sensitive place on the whole model when painting. In recent years the vehicle has become a common part of Russian convoys and appears in a whole range of body conversions.
A small mask holds best on a perfectly clean and smooth surface, so rinse the part first and let it dry thoroughly. Direct the spray perpendicular from above, not at an angle into the side of the window frame. If the paint does get under the edge after all, wait for it to dry completely and remove the excess with a toothpick cut flat; scraping is safer than cleaning with thinner. On small models it is exactly the crisp division between the glass and the body that decides the final impression.
