Unlike a mask set, this item stays on the model. The SX-Art tint film is prepared for the Tiger-M armored car in 1:72 scale and serves to give the glazing of the model the color cast of the real vehicle.
The clear parts of kits tend to be entirely colorless, so the interior of the vehicle is visible through them down to the last detail, and when it is empty inside, the model gives it away at once. Tinted glazing solves the problem elegantly: it damps down the view inside, gives the glass depth and brings the look closer to the armored panes, which on real vehicles have a pronounced color cast. It also finds a use where the interior is finished but you want to make it less conspicuous and draw attention to the silhouette of the vehicle.
Trim the film to the shape of the particular opening and touch it only along the edges while working; fingerprints stand out more on a tinted surface than on clear plastic. Cut with a new blade against a metal rule, in one pass, because a nicked edge is clearly visible in this scale. Before you reach for a sharp knife, trace the shape of the part onto paper and try it out for practice. Put the remaining material back in the packaging; small offcuts come in handy for other models.
