The SX-Art set in 1:35 scale belongs to the American MK.23 MTVR military truck. It is not a kit, but an aid that protects during spraying the areas meant to stay clear or glossy.
The MTVR abbreviation stands for the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement program; its outcome is a sturdy off-road truck with all-wheel drive that has served above all with the US Marine Corps since the turn of the millennium. The MK.23 rendition is the basic cargo version. The vehicle is built for driving off road: it has independent suspension, long travel and a central tire inflation system, thanks to which it gets through even where older machines bog down. Finishes range from a uniform desert color to three-tone camouflage. The cab is conspicuously tall and glazed, so the area around the windows takes more time on the model than the whole rest of the vehicle.
Work in order from the base to the detail: first the base coat, then the mask, then the color shade. Keep the pressure in the airbrush rather lower, so that the paint gets no chance to run under the edge. When the mask is seated on a rounded surface, split the application into three light passes and let the shade flash off between them. Remove it with a pull across the edge, not perpendicular upwards.
