Six vessels of two hundred liters in the damaged rendition that the manufacturer designates as type 1. The set is made for everywhere a scene is to look as though it has been through something. What damage the parts carry is shown by the illustration on the packaging.
An intact container looks freshly out of the store and thereby calms a scene down. A deformed vessel, on the other hand, carries information about what happened in the place, and the viewer will work the story out for himself. It therefore comes into its own best in a mixed group, with a few whole pieces and one or two battered ones among them. The contrast between them is exactly what gives a scene its tension.
In the places where the body is broken, rust behaves differently from a smooth surface, because it has no finish underneath. Paint these areas darker and with a coarser texture, with pigment mixed into varnish if you like. Then subdue the edges so that the transition is not sharp. Around the vessel it is a good idea to suggest a soaked-in patch on the ground, which turns a prop into part of the base rather than just an object set down. Keep the patch rather small and irregular; an area spilled across the whole base looks unconvincing.
