The gun of 7.5 cm caliber designated Kw.K.40 was the main weapon of the later versions of the Panzer IV tank, and the Stu.K.40 version armed German assault guns. The figures L/43 and L/48 give the length of the barrel in multiples of the caliber, that is, how long the barrel is in relation to the diameter of the bore: the longer L/48 barrel came later and gave the projectile a higher muzzle velocity. The ammunition of both guns has the same caliber and looks identical in 1:35 scale, which is why one set covers both barrel lengths.
The rounds suit everywhere the inside of a model should be visible: an open fighting compartment, the floor of the fighting compartment, an ammunition bin or the hands of a figure in the act of passing a shell. In a scene with a vehicle being loaded, it is precisely the individual pieces of ammunition that give the scene its action. They will serve equally well as a small item laid on a fender or leaned against a wheel of a vehicle.
Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest off. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The cases look convincing in a brass tone, darkened into the recesses with a glaze once it has dried, while the projectiles tend to be dark with a colored band. The particular procedure for preparing the parts and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
