Responsibility details are not available.
A PANZER ART accessory for builders of the British armored car. The object of the package is the turret drawn over with a sacking camouflage net, not the hull or the rest of the vehicle. The net is modeled including the way it sags and the way it spills over the edges of the turret.
The Humber belonged among the most numerous British armored cars of the Second World War. The Mk IV version differs from the older ones above all in its armament: it received an American 37 mm gun in the turret, with which it dared to take on lightly armored targets as well. The vehicles ran with reconnaissance units in Italy and in northwestern Europe, where their job was above all to find the opponent and report on him in time, not to fight him. Camouflage nets of sacking belonged to them as naturally as the crew's equipment. They broke up the outline of the turret and above all they shaded the sheen of the armor, which gave the machine away at a great distance.
The net and the armor each need different work with the brush. Sacking comes alive after several filters into yellow and into gray, when you let the shadows in the mesh stand out. The armor, on the contrary, keeps a cooler tone. Special attention is deserved by the transition between the two, because that is exactly where it is told whether the net really lies on the turret, or whether it only merges with it. Dust settled in the folds of the net closes the whole off.
