The smaller variant of the color 3D interior of the AH-1W attack helicopter in 1:35 from Quinta Studio on a decal backing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A helicopter cockpit is rewarding and treacherous for a modeler at the same time: the extensive glazing reveals almost everything that is inside. This smaller version of the set picks out precisely the surfaces that are most visible from outside and handles them with layered printing with the color already laid on. Instead of painting a hundred small gauges, what is left is work with tweezers and a dish of water.
Try the seats and the bulkheads dry in advance, so that the elements go to the right place the first time. Take excess moisture away with a cotton swab. Choose a rather darker shade for the base, so that bare plastic does not shine out around the edges.
The letter W marks the twin-engine Cobra of the United States Marine Corps, which followed on from the older single-engine line. The crew sits in tandem one behind the other, under the nose is a movable turret with an automatic cannon, and the stub wings carry anti-armor guided missiles and unguided rockets. The type entered service in the middle of the 1980s and became a mainstay of units intended for the direct support of landings from ships. The pair of engines added performance and confidence in flight over the sea.
It is available on its own, and the plastic parts of the helicopter are not enclosed.
