A set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale for a model of the AH-64E attack helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AH-64E is a later form of the American Apache attack helicopter. The crew sits in tandem, under the nose there is a traversing turret with a 30 mm cannon, and stub wings with pylons for rockets and anti-tank missiles grow out of the sides of the fuselage. The landing gear is wheeled, with a tail wheel at the back. It is the busy surface of the fuselage and the pylons that gives photo-etched parts so much to do on this type.
It is a fret of photo-etched metal parts, that is, an accessory for a build rather than a model in its own right. Photo-etched metal replaces plastic where thin sheet belongs: on grilles, covers, panels and tie-down straps. In 1:35 scale such features are clearly visible on a finished model. Which parts of the model the set deals with is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting, otherwise they will bend. Make the bends along the scored line, in a bending tool or between two metal rulers. Glue with a tiny amount of super glue applied with the tip of a toothpick. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer for metal surfaces, otherwise the coat rubs off during handling.
The model kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
