A resin replacement barrel with a rendered protective canvas in the late pattern for the German Panzer IV and StuG III armored vehicles in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but a detail accessory, which replaces the plastic barrel and adds a realistic fabric cover over the gun mantlet.
Both the Panzer IV and the StuG III assault gun were armed in their late forms with long 7.5 cm guns. The crews often covered the gap of the gun mantlet with a canvas cover, which protected the moving mounting from dirt and weather. The late pattern of cover differed in shape and form from the earlier one.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and clean the mating surface up. Bond with super glue, and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Pick the fabric canvas out with a dark wash into the folds and a dry brush on the edges.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, nor glue or paints. It is meant for completing an existing kit.
