A set of 1:35 diorama bases holds several separate grounds. A collection on matching bases looks orderly in a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
Black Dog scenic bases in 1:35 scale supplied in one set. The name gives a four-part make-up; the individual grounds can be used on their own or put together side by side into a larger whole.
A collection built on matching bases looks orderly even when the models are varied. The set also allows several small displays that go together to be played out, instead of one large diorama. And if the painting does not come off on one part, there are further attempts left.
Lay out in advance which model goes on which part; the position of a figure or a vehicle affects where the scene will be denser and where open area will remain. Degrease the ground before painting and even it out with a primer coat. If you give all the parts a common base tone, they will hold together in a display case even with different finishing.
It is worth painting the whole set in one series, not months apart. A shade mixed a second time never matches exactly, and side by side in a display case the difference shows. If you do not yet have that many finished models, at least note down the paints used and the mixing ratio, so that it can be returned to.
You divide the individual bases among your models according to your own plan for the display case.
