This is a resin detail set from ResKit. It is not a kit on its own and not a finished model but an accurately cast replacement tail rotor meant to take the place of the original part on plastic kits of the Bell UH-1D Huey helicopter in 1:35 scale. The casting brings finer detail and truer shapes than are easily reached in injection-molded plastic.
You will use the set while building a UH-1D model if you want to lift the look of the tail end. The parts are separated from the casting blocks and fitted in place of the original rotor from the kit. The result is a crisper leading edge to the blades and a more convincing overall impression.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, not by twisting them off. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Use respiratory protection when sanding, because resin dust is harmful to health.
The detail set does not hold a whole model, nor glue and paints. It serves as an accessory to a UH-1D kit in 1:35.
